About

ABOUT

Jen McNinch is the Republican Party nominee for the Midlothian District on the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors. She is a mother, businesswoman, and community leader who has been a life-long conservative and wants to bring her experience to the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors. Jen was born at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where her Vietnam Veteran father was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, and she grew up in Memphis, TN and Leesburg, VA. She earned a BA in English Literature from George Mason University, her Masters in Project Management, and her PMP certification. Jen has more than 20 years of professional experience, from her earlier career as a paralegal to progressing into legal project management. She currently works as a Division Director for a government contractor, managing a $12.6M budget and a staff of 56 people. Additionally, Jen served 2 years on the Board of Directors for the Washington Chapter of the national organization, Women in eDiscovery. She served over 5.5 years as Involvement Lead for the PMI Community of Practice - Legal Project Management, and over 5 years on an HOA Board. To summarize, community service is important to Jen.

Having spent much of her formative youth in Leesburg, VA, the rising tension between parents and the Loudoun County School Board that made national headlines has brought the impact of local involvement and the future of education in Virginia for her daughter into focus.  After Jen attended a Loudoun County School Board meeting to see the impact for herself, she understood how imperative it is to defend the voices of parents and to advocate for the sake of the students. With her daughter in the Chesterfield County Public Schools, Jen was spurred on to regularly attend Chesterfield School Board meetings and to become active and involved with the issues and policies being presented. She could not stand by and watch what was happening in Loudoun happen here in Chesterfield. Since then, Jen has watched it become even more evident that involvement and, more importantly, action is required to make a positive difference in support of this wonderful community - and she is ready to step up!

Jen and her loving and supportive husband, Jim, live in Chesterfield County with the greatest blessing of their lives, their daughter Charlotte.

Revitalizing our economy:

As a career project manager and businesswoman, Jen has overseen multimillion dollar budgets and understands how to reduce waste and utilize resources efficiently.  As a county supervisor, Jen will work to create a leaner and more efficient budget in order to reduce spending in Chesterfield County, while also reducing the tax and regulatory burden from Chesterfield’s citizens. Jen will bring her lifelong innovative mindset to the Board and grow business and jobs in Chesterfield creatively.

Returning to Common Sense Education Practices:

First and foremost, Jen is a concerned mother who wants for her daughter what all Chesterfield parents want: for our schools to focus on education and preparing our children for college and the workforce, rather than focus on indoctrination and radical social experimentation. Jen is committed to standing for parental involvement in the education of their children and to ensuring that our schools are a safe environment in which our children learn and explore ideas. She will oppose the implementation of Critical Race Theory and other radical curriculum in our schools.

Innovating in Chesterfield:

Jen is proud to call Chesterfield County home and wants to continue to innovate and inspire to bring even more businesses to Chesterfield. Whether they’re reopening after the pandemic or establishing new factories as The Lego Group has recently, Jen knows we can continue to make Chesterfield the best county in the entire Commonwealth. Jen will work with legislators to establish innovative decisions that attract businesses, like opportunity zones, because every Chesterfield resident deserves more opportunities, not less.

Standing by our Law Enforcement:

As a mother, Jen is concerned about keeping our community safe. Jen understands that radical policies demonizing and defunding our police will only drive good police from the force and make our communities less safe. As Supervisor, Jen will work with the Chesterfield County Police Department and Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office to ensure that our law enforcement is the best funded, the most well-equipped, and the most supported in the Commonwealth.
